Children's Programs & Activities
for ages 3 - 4 years

Discovery Dynamos and fun activities for your children!

June 17 - September 5, 2016.

Discovery Dynamos All-Day Program
For Ages 3 - 4 years.
Offered daily, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Regular price $85 per child per day. Discovery Dynamos daily programs are INCLUDED for those children paid to be on the FamilyFest or Adventure Connection Vacation Package.

Discovery is exactly what this all day program is about. Youngsters will explore Vermont nature and the forests, make creative crafts, search for Mogul Mouse and Billy Bob Bear, make new friends and have plenty of play time too.

Children are placed in groups based on age and developmental abilities. Typically 3 year-olds are placed together and 4 year-olds are placed together. If you wish children of different ages to be in the same group, the older child will be placed with the younger child, in a group appropriate to the younger child.

Discovery Dynamos program is licensed by the State of Vermont Social Rehabilitation Services to ensure the best programming and care possible for children ages 3-4. Children must be completely toilet trained to participate in the Discovery Dynamos program. No pull ups or diapers are allowed in this program.

Discovery Camp Activities
Theme of the Day(Click here for more details.)
The Dynamos are given a new theme each day to keep activities fresh and give children a chance to discover new facets of themselves and the world around them. While many themes are present throughout the entire week, giving 3 and 4 year-olds a focus each day helps them succeed and enjoy their day without mom and dad.

Every day kids will play at one of our water facilities, re-energize with snack time, and relax during story and quiet time. During water play, groups will get to play in one of our wading pools carefully supervised by lifeguards and counselors.
Sunday — Creative Crafts
We'll use our imaginations to create projects using a variety of materials such as clay, paint, and recycled items.

Monday — Blend, build, mix and match
We'll play with different tools for measuring, mixing, building and blending of solids and liquids. Final creations will be used for playing, eating, or building!

Tuesday — Mogul Mouse & Billy Bob Bear Mystery
Mogul Mouse and Billy Bob Bear are lost! We'll follow clues around the Village to find them and then pose for a group photo.

Wednesday — Gotta Move
This will be an action-packed day filled with running and jumping as we test physical abilities and build self-confidence by going through a mini-obstacle course and enjoying other movement activities. We'll finish the day watching an exciting show featuring 802 Disc Dogs.

Thursday — Theme Parade Day & Creative Fun
This day is focused on making costumes for our afternoon theme day parade. (All parents are invited to the parade on the Village Green at 3:30 pm.)

Friday — Rockin' Rhythms and Musical Fun
We'll start the day with a sing-along with the Friendly Pirate, followed by an afternoon of play and fun.

Saturday — The Great Reservoir Adventure
We'll learn about frogs through puppet games, fun stories, and arts & crafts. Then we'll hike to the Village Reservoir to see frogs and tadpoles up close, and explore the nature of a forest pond.
