Paddling Adventures for All Ages

Available June 13 - September 1, 2008.

Explore the Lamoille River at sunset, search for beavers at work or simply enjoy the serenity of paddling with our professional guides. Tour a local winery or take an ice cream float. Explore on your own with our Canoe/Kayak Rental and Shuttle. All paddling adventures include paddling and water safety instruction and ending times listed are approximate. Must provide own transportation to launch site for all paddling adventures.
Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Evening Wildlife Watch
Enjoy a fun evening canoe tour, which will have you paddling along the Lamoille River past many varieties of wildlife. You may see ducks, blue heron, and turtles, beaver lodges and maybe even the beavers that built the lodges.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, 5:30 pm - dusk. $70 per canoe. Advance registration required, limited space available.

Lake Kayak
Learn to kayak, refine your skills, play sponge tag and explore quiet waters of a nearby lake.
Tuesday, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm. $75 per person. Bring a lunch, swimsuit, water and day pack. Ages 13 - Adult. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Guests must provide own transportation. Advance registration required. Limited space available.

Morning River Kayak
Start your day with a relaxing kayak trip down the Lamoille River. Improve your paddling while watching for kingfisher, blue heron and other wetland birds.
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 9:00 am - 11:00 am. $40 per person, ages 13 - Adult. Advance registration required, limited space available.

Ice Cream Float
What could be a more relaxing and enjoyable combination than an afternoon family canoe trip with a special stop for an ice cream treat? Enjoy some of Vermont’s finest rivers and ice cream!
Tuesday & Thursday, 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm. $70 per canoe. Advance registration required, limited space available.

Water & Wine
Travel by canoe on the traditional waterways used by early settlers. Understand how the pastoral landscape continues to shape local history. Finish the tour at the Boyden Valley Winery. Tours include wine tasting with local Vermont cheeses and French bread in the Boyden’s restored carriage barn.
Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm. $35 per person. Advance registration required, limited space available.

River Ways
Paddle, drift and explore as you guide your kayak along the Lamoille River.
Thursday, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm. $75 per person. Bring a lunch, swimsuit, water and day pack. Ages 13 - Adult. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Guests must provide own transportation. Advance registration required. Limited space available.

Canoe/Kayak Rental
Explore the beauty of the Lamoille River at your leisure. Professional guides will instruct you in paddling and water safety, then send you off on your own paddling adventure!
Daily, on the hour, from 8:00 am - 11:00 am or 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. One-person kayak rentals are $40. Canoe or tandem kayak rental are $60. Trips are 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 hours. Advance registration required, limited space available.
