Summer at Smugglers' Notch Vermont

Smugglers' Notch Disc Golf

Also known as Frisbee Golf, one of the fastest growing sports in the country.

Available June 13 - September 1, 2008.

18 Hole Disc Golf Course
This Summer, play an 18 hole round of golf on The Woods Course at Smugglers'! Disc Golf that is! Like the traditional game of golf, disc golf provides recreation, challenge, competition and just plain fun for participants of all ages - from 6 to 106! This is a great way to combine a wike in the woods with a game the whole family can play.

The Woods Course is situated in and around our cross-country and snowshoe trails, and encompasses about 10 acres of the forested area. Just like regular golf, each hole is comprised of a "tee box", "fairways", and a "green". The ultimate target on the "green" is a specially designed metal basket on a pole, strategically placed in true golf course fashion. Each hole has a par ranging from 3 to 5 strokes... or throws. It takes about 90 minutes to play the entire 18 hole round.

There are discs designed specifically for Disc Golf. There's a Fairway Driver Disc, a Mid-Distance Disc and a Putter Disc. You are welcome to bring your own flying discs, but most players prefer the specifically designed discs for this type of play.

You can rent 3 discs for $5 per round or purchase a complete set of 3 discs for $25 at the Tennis Center. The Woods Course is open daily 9:00 am - dusk.
