Summer 2021

Smugglers' Notch Resort top choice for family reunions

Smugglers' Notch Resort offers all of the ingredients for a family-pleasing summer reunion: a convenient Resort Village with programs and amenities, comfortable mountainside condominium lodging, award-winning family activities, a beautiful location in Vermont's Green Mountains, and a professional staff of reunion planners.

The Resort offers lodging, activities, and restaurants in a centrally located and easily accessible area. Summer activities include enjoying the Resort's eight pools and four waterslides (including the Splashville splash pad), guided hiking, tennis, a skateboard park and a teen center. A treetop canopy tour provides thrills for all ages on a guided course of eight zip lines, two suspension bridges and two rappels. Other outdoor adventures include the Treetop Obstacle Course with aerial challenge elements, geocaching and a Via Ferrata course combining hiking, rock climbing, and high ropes. An indoor FunZone features games and climbing inflatables for all ages, with a special toddler play area for little ones.

Smugglers' Reunion Planning Team is experienced at serving the interests of groups from small to large. "On average, family groups number about 20, although the Resort has hosted groups as large as 300. The attraction to Smugglers' is that there really is something for everyone, and guests can pick and choose from a variety of activities," notes Rob Aiken, one of the Resort's reunion planners. The Resort's extensive selection of children's specialty programs can be included in the reunion package, or guests may elect to select their programs a la carte.

Guests at Smugglers' are lodged in comfortable condominiums that range in size from studio to five bedroom units, all with fully-equipped kitchens. Reunion guests can work with Smugglers' staff to ensure that lodging arrangements completely meet their groups needs. "The variety of lodging ensures that requests for privacy or for family togetherness can be easily accommodated," notes Aiken.

Reunion organizers can begin to build their dream reunion using the Resort's online planner. The online planner features questions related to a group's interests, the number of people in the group, and their spending limit per person, and the Smugglers' reunions staff then develops a customized package.

Smugglers' offers both the serenity of a mountain location and convenient access to dining, cultural and recreational opportunities in Burlington. At historic Smugglers' Notch Pass near the Resort, visitors can connect with several trail heads or rock climb on the rugged terrain. Water lovers may also venture to Lake Champlain for a variety of boating and fishing activities.
