Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I did not find a pot of gold today, but this morning’s rain turned to snow midday and I’ll call that a win. We received an inch of new snow this afternoon bringing our season total to 232 inches! Tomorrow we plan to have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains. We will have 6 lifts operating, Madonna 2, Sterling, Village, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, Morse Highlands, and Sir Henry’s Glider. Our groomers will be working on upper Madonna Mountain for the next couple of nights and we plan to have the Madonna 1 Lift open again on Wednesday. We have 36 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 10 to 46 inches. 28 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Snow Snake, McPherson’s, Hibernator, Snake Bite, and Howie’s Wanderer for a total of 151 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Currently, it is cloudy and 25 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 0 to 5 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 46 degrees at the base and 41 degrees at higher elevations.
