Junior Instructor Development Program

Do you have an interest in working with children and sharing your passion for skiing and riding? This program is your first step toward becoming a Junior Instructor and working in the Snow Sports/Resort Community.

How? We will explore the fundamentals of becoming a Junior Instructor by working through the same learning progression our Snow Sport University professionals utilize. The emphasis will be on teaching children in a fun manner. You will shadow Mini and Mitey Mite classes to learn what SSU Instructors do, all while receiving coaching to enhance your skiing and riding skills.

Who should apply? The program is open to skiers and riders ages 13 to 16 who are comfortable on most blue and black trails on Madonna and Sterling Mountains. At the end of the eight-week program, participants who have successfully completed the course and are 14 & older will be eligible to apply to be a paid Junior Instructor! If hired within two years of completion of the program, you receive a 50% refund on the price you paid for the Junior Instructor Development Program.
