(Jeffersonville, VT) – Smugglers’ Notch, America’s Family Resort and the Colorado based company, Applied Adventure Consulting (ACC) are pleased to announce the recent acquisition of ArborTrek Canopy Adventures located at the Resort in Jeffersonville, VT. The ArborTrek adventure-based experience consists of an award winning Zipline Canopy Tour, Climbing Adventure, Team Building Programs, and a 90+ element Treetop Obstacle Course with guides providing commentary on local ecology, natural history, and lore of the area.

The acquisition of ArborTrek adds to an operational portfolio that, since AAC’s establishment in 2019, has grown to include locations in California, Illinois, North Carolina, West Virginia, and now Vermont. At each location, AAC works to establish local teams of outdoor-loving professionals to greet, guide, and host guests on the adventure tours.

“We’re so thrilled to be the new owners of ArborTrek, working with our partners at Smugglers’ Notch Resort,” said Dylan Burt, co-owner and CEO of AAC. “ArborTrek has an outstanding reputation and lengthy history of success, and we look forward to leading this business into the future as we get to know and work with the future guests and the community.”

Over the years, ArborTrek adventures have been extremely popular with Smuggs guests, with over 25% participating in this unique outdoor experience. The outdoor adventures have become so popular that Smuggs is creating an ArborTrek experience booking package so guests can easily set up their adventure vacation.

“Smuggs will continue working with world-class organizations and partnering with exciting attractions”, said Resort owner, Bill Stritzler. “ArborTrek offers our guests a real unique outdoor adventure among the beauty of the mountains in Vermont.”

Smugglers’ Notch Resort has been a joint partner with ArborTrek since its inception over eight years ago and contributes to a large part of the business including a Welcome Center and land associated with the self-guided tree adventures, low lines, and zip course. ArborTrek will continue to run through spring, summer and fall seasons.
