Great start to the season

3 Mountain Logo

The 6 inches of new snow that we received in the past 24 hours and 24 inches in the past week, really made a difference! We started the day with 5 trails open and at one point had 13 trails open. Patroller was dropping ropes on some Smuggs favorites like Upper Exhibition, Bootlegger, Thomke’s Express, Highlander Glades, and Hangman’s Drop. Mother Nature is going to hit the refresh button again tonight, so tomorrow should another wonderful day. It will be colder tomorrow, so bundle up and enjoy the new snow. Our snowmaking crew will take advantage of the colder temperatures. They will be focusing their efforts on Lower Rumrunner, Sir Henry’s, and the lower half of Mogul Mouse. Tomorrow we plan to have the Sterling Lift opening at 8:30 am. We plan to have 11 trails open with terrain for intermediates and experts. The snowmaking on Morse Mountain will allow us to open beginner terrain in the near future. Tonight’s forecast is calling for periods of snow up to 8 inches of accumulation possible. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloud skies with a chance of some snow showers early, breezy, with a high of 18 degrees at the base and 11 degrees at higher elevations. We plan to groom Upper Rumrunner, Crossover, Treasure Run, and Lower Exhibition for tomorrow.

The stoke is real!
