I spoke with our Patrol Director Mike Duncan today and he said that he believes tonight’s forecasted snow will allow us to have over 20 open trails tomorrow. Tonight’s forecast is calling for periods of snow with 3 to 7 inches of accumulation. Tomorrow’s forecast is cloudy skies with snow showers early another 1 to 2 inches of new snow possible, and breezy, a high of 26 degrees at the base and 22 degrees at higher elevations. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day. Currently, it is snowing and 28 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow we plan to have the Sterling Lift, Sir Henry’s Glider, and Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift open to mid-station. We plan to have 20 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 8 trails will be groomed for tomorrow for a total of 44 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 8 to 38 inches.
