Snowmaking and natural snow

3 Mountain Logo

We are presently making snow on Upper Chilcoot, Waterfall, McPherson’s, and Mulcahy’s Link. We are planning to open the Madonna I Lift again later this week. We received 3 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours, 13 inches in the past 2 days, and 34 inches in the past week. Tomorrow, we plan to have 5 lifts operating: Village, Madonna II, Sterling, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 31 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 12 to 42 inches. 19 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Snake Bite, Lower Chilcoot, Midway, and Garden Path, for a total of 109 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Currently, it is -3 degrees at the summit of Sterling, with flurries and winds of 10 to 20 mph. We could see 1 to 3 inches of new snow tonight. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for snow showers with 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible, breezy, with a high of 14 degrees at the base and 11 degrees at higher elevations.
