The Morse Highlands Lift is now open! This area of Morse Mountain is really fun, with 5 trails to explore. There are 4 beginner runs and 1 intermediate run. There are even some glades to play in, which I did this morning! Today, we have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We now have 70 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 32 trails have been groomed for today, including Drifter, Log Jam, Smugglers’ Alley, Upper FIS, and Howie’s Wanderer, for a total of 174 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 12 to 42 inches. We are presently making snow on Snow Snake. Currently, it is sunny and 7 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for sunny skies with increasing clouds through out the day a high of 18 degrees at the base and 9 degrees at higher elevations.

How come highlands is only open on weekends? We bought our unit in Aspens because of the convenience of the highlands lifts and trails and haven’t been able to use them in years. Not feeling very good about this.

Morse Highlands was open last weekend with just natural snow. We then closed Morse Highlands Lift during the week to make snow on Log Jam, Dixie’s Knoll, Sam’s Run, and Hibernator. We then reopened Morse Highlands this weekend and we plan to have it open for the rest of the season.
