We received 2 inches of new snow overnight, 6 inches in the past 4 days, and 81 inches in the month of January so far! It was a little cloudy to start the day, but then the sun was out for most of the day. The Madonna 1 Lift was on wind hold today, but it looks like it will be running tomorrow. I bet there a some nice drifts on top of Madonna right now and we have more snow on the way. We could see 1 to 2 inches of new snow overnight. Another 3 to 7 inches of new snow Wednesday and Wednesday night. Tomorrow we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna 1 Lift. We have 67 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 31 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Upper FIS, Smugglers’ Alley, Snow Snake, Dixie’s Knoll, and McPherson’s for a total of 167 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Currently, it is partly cloudy and 19 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for a chance of a snow shower early then mostly sunny skies, breezy with a high of 12 degrees at the base and 6 degrees at higher elevations. Bundle up and enjoy the new snow! Garden Path will be closed tomorrow from the top of the Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift. The feature photo is long time Ski Instructor Matt McCawley.
