We have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have all 78 trails open. Freefall is open from the top and Madonna Liftline is open top-to-bottom. We received 6 inches of new snow overnight and 32 inches in the past week! We are in the middle of a Winter Storm Warning with another 18 inches of new snow possible. Currently, it is snowing hard and 13 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 15 to 30 mph. Today’s forecast is snow and sleet 4 to 8 inches of accumulation possible, windy with a high of 24 degrees at the base and 20 degrees at higher elevations. Winds are forecasted to increase today. Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with average base depths of 14 to 50 inches. 31 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley, Magic Learning Trail, and skier’s right on Upper FIS for a total of 170 acres of freshly groomed terrain. The feature photo is the Headwall this morning.

When is snowboarding going to be allowed?
You know, instead of
“Mad River Glenn, ski it if you can” it should be “enjoy it if you can” including snowboarding-
We have always allowed snowboarding here at Smugglers’ Notch!! Come on up and enjoy it.
