The feature photo shows Upper FIS in the foreground, you can see the bottom of Lower FIS and the Base Lodge on the far right side of the photo. It was a wonderful day out on the hill! We had partly sunny skies, mild temperatures, and a little new snow overnight. I went skiing on the upper mountains in the morning and snowboarding on Morse in the afternoon. Tomorrow we plan to have 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna 1 Lift on 3 big mountains. We have 77 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 14 to 52 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 27 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for a slight chance of freezing rain or drizzle becoming snow showers half inch of accumulation possible, breezy with a high of 37 degrees at the base and 33 degrees at higher elevations.
