A Day for Jake at Smuggs

Join us at Smugglers’ Notch for A Day for Jake, a heartfelt celebration of Jake Burton Carpenter’s legacy and his passion for sharing the joy of snowboarding. This special event highlights Smuggs commitment to welcoming new riders and fostering a love for the sport through Snow Sport University (SSU).

Throughout the day, families, friends, and snowboarders of all ages will come together to honor Jake’s vision through engaging on-snow experiences, progression-focused activities, and community gatherings—all designed to inspire the next generation of riders.

  • 10:00 am & 1:00 pm – Learn to Ride Program
  • 1:30 pm – 3:00 pmBurton Riglet Park Family Session at the Burton Riglet Treehouse
  • 3:30 pm Group Run & Photo for Jake Gather with the SSU team at the top of the Village Lift for a group photo and tribute ride honoring Jake’s legacy.
  • 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm – Jib for Jake Park Session at Sir Henry’s Learning Hill, with DJ Jammin’ Sam
  • 6:00 pm – Salute to Jake in Bootleggers’ Lounge

    The final day of lift operations on Morse Mountain will be Sunday, March 30th.
    Madonna and Sterling Mountains will continue running March 31 – April 6.
    Sterling only will remain open April 7 – April 11.
    Madonna I (M1) will reopen for one last hurrah April 12 & 13.
