Horst Thomke was a local restaurateur and raconteur. A superb chef, skier, pianist, yodler (native of Switzerland), and part time ski patroller, he enjoyed running the Top of the Notch Cafe as well as his Chez Moustache restaurant on the mountain road. The unpredictable terrain of Thomke’s trail reminds us of his zany personality. 2500 feet, .47 miles
