Hikes, Wikes, Walks – What’s the difference?

Our guided hiking adventures are called hikes, wikes and walks to help you choose the degree of difficulty and duration of the outing that is right for you.

On-site self-guided adventures

Start your self-guided scavenger hunt adventure at the Gazebo. Follow the clues around the Village, find the hidden letters, and unscramble them to discover the secret word.

Can you unscramble the word? Here are your clues!

  • Kids play here to kill the boredom; some even pretend to be Michael Jordan.
  • Tennis, mini golf, we have it all. Look for the box near the mining falls.
  • Across from Treasures up past Notchville Park is where you are going. Stop near the bridge and don’t look back, you will find this box on the corner of Reservoir Tracks and Reservoir Hill.
  • Smugglers’ Notch has winter, spring, summer and fall. Head to the pond at the entrance that has a view of it all.
  • Here you can learn to ride in both winter and summer. Some see it as a challenge, others see it as a learning curve.
  • Head to the green where family events can be seen. Little ones play on this wooden structure all day.

The secret word answer can be found at the Tennis Center

Enjoy a leisurely walk through the woods while experiencing the different maple tress and viewing the current maple sap collecting operation. Enjoy the information signs along the way that discuss the time-honored tradition of maple sugaring.
