More trails opened today

We received 2 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 4 inches in the past 2 days. The new snow allowed us to open some natural snow trails like Father Bob’s, Goat Path, Lower Black Bear, Lower Harvey’s Hideaway, Lower Jolly Rodger, and Upper Exhibition from Rumrunner down. The cooler temperatures is keeping the snow nice and light. Speaking of cooler temperatures snowmaking resumes tonight on Birch Run, Practice Slope, Snake Bite, and the top of Black Snake. The Practice Slope and Black Snake will be open tomorrow. We have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains. We now have 27 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 20 out of the 27 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Snow Snake, Treasure Run, and Mulcahy’s Link for a grand total of 86 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 6 to 32 inches. Currently, it is snowing and 10 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 0 to 5 mph. Tonight’s forecast is calling for snow with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 15 degrees at the base and 12 degrees at the summit. Dress warm and enjoy the wonderful conditions!
