Colder air is on its way

Temperatures will be falling tonight through Tuesday morning. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for partly sunny skies with a high of 18 degrees in the Village and 10 degrees at the summit. We plan to start making snow on Lower Chilcoot tomorrow. We plan to continue making snow on Lower Chilcoot through Tuesday morning. Tuesday’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of -5 degrees in the Village and -10 degrees at the summit. It might be time for function not fashion on Tuesday! Tomorrow we plan to have 5 lifts operating; Sterling Lift, Madonna II Lift, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, Village Lift, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains. We have 30 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 21 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Snow Snake, and Mulcahy’s Link for a grand total of 88 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and loose granular with average base depths of 6 to 32 inches. Part of Black Snake and Snake Bite will be closed tomorrow for a GS race. To get back to Parking Lot 1 tomorrow you will need to cross the racecourse at the T-Bar mid. Please look up the course for racers before crossing! Currently, it is cloudy and 29 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 10 to 20 mph.

Uphill Travel

Sterling Mountain is open from 5:30 am till 7:30 am.

Morse Mountain opens from 5:00 pm till 10:00 pm.

Madonna Mountain is presently closed.
