Snowmaking Operations

Last night our snowmakers were busy on Lower Morse Liftline and the Zone. The guns were shut off at 5 am and groomers are now pushing out the whales on Lower Morse Liftline. Our groomers were also busy last night packing down 22 inches of new snow that we received in the past 3 days. 31 trails being groomed for today, including Drifter, Thomke’s, and Curley’s Cutback for a grand total of 132 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Today we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We plan to have 77 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are amazing with powder and packed powder, with average base depths of 16 to 48 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and -3 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Today’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies early becoming partly sunny later with a high of 7 degrees at the base and 2 degrees at higher elevations. Bundle up and enjoy the wonderful conditions!
