Cats on the prowl

Last night we made snow on Lower Morse Liftline and the Zone. Lower Morse Liftline is being groomed out now and will be open today. We have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 76 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Freefall is open from the Upper FIS traverse. Upper Madonna Liftline is open from Catwalk down to the work road. We received 22 inches of new snow in the past 4 days! 35 trails are being groomed for today, including Drifter, Snake Bite, and Sam’s Run for a grand total of 136 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 16 to 48 inches. Birch Run and Knight’s Revenge Terrain Parks open. Currently, it is -4 degrees at the summit of Sterling with partly sunny skies and winds of 0 to 5 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for partly sunny skies with a high of 20 degrees at the base and 14 degrees at higher elevations.

Today there is the Friendly Freeski Competition for 18 years old and younger. The venue is Full Nelson and part of the Practice Slope “Cookie Jar.” Full Nelson will be closed during the competition.
