Here comes the weekend

Currently, it is partly cloudy and 29 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 10 to 20 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mix, and some rain becoming snow at lower elevations with a high of 40 degrees. Higher elevations are looking at a mix becoming snow with an inch of accumulation possible, windy with a high of 35 degrees. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 77 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 31 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Drifter, Black Snake, and Log Jam for a grand total of 131 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and variable with average base depths of 16 to 48 inches. Surface conditions will be changing with the falling temperatures. Birch Run and Knight’s Revenge Terrain Park are both open.

All 3 mountains will be closed to uphill traffic on Saturday night and on Sunday morning for extensive grooming operations.

This is Eliza enjoying her day off. She works at Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift and it is usually at mid-station. She is very helpful with all the skiers and riders unloading at mid-station. She also likes to congratulate people who are riding to the top. She told me that she took turns today riding the Village Lift and Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift to say hello to her friends working both lifts.
