Snowmaking Top to Bottom on Morse

I want to thank our snowmakers for all their hard work! We are presently making snow on Garden Path, Lower Morse Liftline, Sir Henry’s Learning Hill, and the base area of Madonna. The forecast is calling for single-digit temperatures and very little wind tonight in the village. This is perfect snowmaking weather! The colder temperatures allow for higher production and more efficient snowmaking. The calm winds make it much easier to place the snow where you want it to go. Beginner terrain will be open soon.

Currently, it is cloudy and 12 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 0 to 5 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for skies becoming partly sunny with a high of 24 degrees at the base and 18 degrees at the summit. Today, we have Sterling Lift operating with 25 trails open. 6 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley, for a total of 25 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 12 to 36 inches.
