Ready for the weekend!

Today was pretty amazing. Caleb and I met at the Madonna I Lift this morning to take some photos and videos of all the new snow. We started with Upper FIS to Dan’s Ford. On our second run, we headed over to Drifter. The top of Drifter lived up to its name. The second half was a smooth blanket of freshies. It was dreamy as we floated through the new snow. The traverse to Freefall opened up on our third run, and we took it. There were only a couple of tracks on Freefall, but we decided to slide into the Black Hole. It turned out to be our favorite run of the day. It’s amazing what 15 inches of new snow in three 3 days can do. The great news is that there’s more on the way. We could see 1 to 2 inches of new snow tonight. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for snow showers; another 1 to 2 inches of accumulation is possible, with a high of 19 degrees at the base and 12 degrees at higher elevations. 38 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Drifter, Upper FIS, Smugglers’ Alley, Thomke’s, Snow Snake, and Log Jam, for a total of 147 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 14 to 40 inches. Tomorrow, we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 60 trails open with terrain for all ability levels.
