Snow Sport University Ski Lesson on Lower Morse Liftline

Today started off with beautiful sunny skies, which lasted most of the morning. The clouds rolled in early in the afternoon and we went from flurries to snowing hard in a short amount of time. The snowflakes got really big for a while reducing visibility. The photo of Lower Morse Liftline shows the low visibility.

We received an inch of new snow this afternoon and we could see another inch of accumulation tonight.

We have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 4 lifts operating. We have 42 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 33 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, that’s 136 acres of freshly groomed terrain.

Monster Storm!

Rockin’ Ron for Hugh. There’s lots of forecasts, prognostications, and Nostradamifications out there, but I’m going with 2 to 3 feet of new snow by Thursday! I got to take epic runs today with my Toronto friends Eire, Erieann, and Marie. The snow was creamy and dreamy and falling steadily. Upper FIS was soft moguls with plenty o’ pow and Playground was carvin-a-licious. Shout out to Rena from Patrol for some advice on ski bindings.

BTW – 8 INCHES OF NEW SNOW IN THE PAST 12 HOURS!!!!!!!!

Glade skiing on Sterling

What is better than a powder day? One right after another! We received 9 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 16 inches in the past week. I had a wonderful time today playing in all the fresh new snow. The conditions just kept getting better as the snow continued to fall all day long. I found many fresh lines on Sterling and Madonna. The great thing is that they will all be fresh again tomorrow. The 24 hour forecast is calling for periods of snow with up to 5 inches of accumulation possible. We could see another 7 inches of new snow by Sunday
