First light ☀️

The sun rising directly above Madonna last week (as seen from the Adam’s Apple of Mt. Mansfield).

A few of the finest miles of pavement in the state can be found just above the Madonna/Sterling base area.

Steep, narrow, and dramatic, Route 108 through Smugglers’ Notch was the first officially designated “Scenic Highway” in the state. It’s the best scenic drive in Vermont (according to @tripadvisor) and unofficially the worst road to take your tractor trailer (according to @aotvermont 😉).

Turn left when exiting the Village and see what the hype is all about!

(This road is closed in the winter, so make sure you get up there before the snow does!)

If you can’t make snow, you might as well make sunshine ☀️
