Air It Out

3 Mountain Logo

We received 3 inches of new snow overnight, 9 inches in the past 2 days, and 15 inches in the past 6 days! Fantastic conditions! We have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including Madonna I. We have 76 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with average base depths of 12 to 42 inches. 34 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley, Upper FIS, and Snow Snake, for 160 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We are presently making snow on Upper Chilcoot and it is only open from the top of Madonna down to Catwalk. The easiest way down from the top of Madonna today is Drifter and it was groomed last night. Freefall and the Black Hole are open from the traverse on Upper FIS. I skied both of these trails this morning, and they were dreamy! There is a Winter Weather Advisory going through tonight with up to 7 inches of new snow possible. Currently, it is snowing and 20 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 15 to 20 mph. Today’s forecast calls for snow showers with 3 to 5 inches of accumulation possible, breezy with a high of 27 degrees at the base and 20 degrees at higher elevations. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day.
