We received 2 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours, 30 inches in the past week, and 53 inches in January so far! In the past 2 weeks, there has only been one day where we did not get new snow. And speaking of snow, we have a Winter Weather Advisory starting tomorrow afternoon, and it goes through Wednesday with up to 15 inches of accumulation possible by Thursday. We are presently making snow on Upper FIS. Tomorrow, we plan to have 5 lifts operating: Madonna II, Sterling, Village, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 37 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 12 to 42 inches. Currently, it is 24 degrees at the summit of Sterling with flurries. We could see 1 to 3 inches of new snow tonight. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for snow showers to accumulate another 1 to 2 inches, possibly with a high of 20 degrees at the base and 14 degrees at higher elevations.

Question regarding the web cams. I can’t ski anymore but love checking the cams. The cam facing the Madonna I lift line used to look higher up onto the Mtn lift line and then zoom to the top automatically. Can or will that cam be able to do so again?

We recently had to upgrade our camera system, and while the new camera provides a much clearer and higher-quality image, its range doesn’t extend all the way to the top of Madonna like the previous one did. We understand how much you enjoyed that view, and we’re always looking for ways to enhance the experience for our guests. While the current camera setup can’t zoom to the top, we’ll keep your feedback in mind as we continue to improve our technology.
