Carve it up

3 Mountain Logo

Shout out to our wonderful team of groomers! Thomke’s is a natural snow trail, and they buffed it up last night to perfection. They also groomed 16 more trails, including Smugglers’ Alley, Black Snake, Treasure Run, Lower FIS, McPherson’s, and Snake Bite, for 106 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We have the Sterling Lift and Madonna II Lift operating today. We have 17 trails open with terrain for intermediates and experts. Surface conditions are machine groomed and loose granular with average base depths of 10 to 46 inches. Currently, it is sunny and 24 degrees at the summit of Sterling, with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies early, increasing clouds throughout the day with a high of 35 degrees at the base and 30 degrees at higher elevations. Grab your carving skis or board and come on up! The feature photo is Patroller Rusty laying down a nice toe-edge turn.
