We have a significant weather change taking place this afternoon which will lead us back to some very cold weather tomorrow.  Base temps tomorrow morning are forecast to be -6 degrees at the base and -11 at the top of Sterling at 9 am.  Wind chills will be -28 and -38 respectively.  Therefore, Morse Lifts, Mogul Mouse, Village, and Highlands, and the Sterling T-bar will open at 9 am.  Sterling and Madonna 2 will open at 10 am.  Madonna 1 will be delayed until noontime.  This assumes we don’t have additional delays caused by wind.  If it’s warmer than forecast we may be able to open Sterling and Madonna a little earlier but it won’t be much. Tomorrow’s NVC U10 race on the Practice Slope will have a delayed start of noontime. It is time for function, not fashion.

We broke the 300 inch mark today! We received 8 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours, 24 inches in the past week, and 302 inches this season so far. We have 77 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 32 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Drifter, Log Jam, Howie’s Wanderer, Black Snake, McPherson’s, and Birch Run for a total of 179 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 12 to 52 inches.
