First day of Spring

3 Mountain Logo

The calendar says that today is the first of Spring, but we are not done with winter weather yet. Temperatures will be falling tonight and we could see 1 to 2 inches of new snow during the day tomorrow. Currently, it is sunny and 34 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 15 to 25 mph. The Village Lift, Madonna 1 Lift, and Madonna 2 Lift are presently on wind hold. We currently have 4 lifts operating, Sterling, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, Morse Highlands, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We presently have 20 trails open. More trails will open as surface conditions soften. 13 trails on Morse Mountain were groomed last night. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 10 to 46 inches. Today’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies early increasing clouds, and a strong south wind with a high of 60 degrees at the base and 55 degrees at higher elevations. Enjoy the sunshine, warm air, and great spring conditions!
