Today started with sunny skies and fog in the valley. Clouds rolled in midday and we had some rain in the afternoon. The liquid sunshine made for nice soft turns. If you did not get out this afternoon to test your gore-tex, you will get another chance tomorrow. There is snow in the forecast starting Tuesday night going through Thursday. This snow should allow us to open more terrain later this week. We plan to have 5 lifts operating tomorrow, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, Village, Madonna 2, Sterling, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 20 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 16 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Midway, Meadowlark, Smugglers’ Alley, Lower Chilcoot, and Howie’s Wanderer for a total of 100 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 6 to 36 inches. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with rain, windy, with a high of 46 degrees at the base and 43 degrees at higher elevations. Wear something waterproof and enjoy the soft conditions.
