It’s a Spring thing

3 Mountain Logo

Today brought us some beautiful sunny skies, temperatures hitting 50 degrees at the base, and a variety of surface conditions. I was pleasantly surprised to find some powder on the skier’s left of Upper FIS and Doc Dempsey’s Glades today. The warmer temperatures on Morse Mountain made for some great spring skiing. Tomorrow brings more sunshine and cooler temperatures. We received 4 inches of new snow in the past 48 hours and 327 inches this season so far! Tomorrow we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 48 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 34 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Birch Run, Snow Snake, Thomke’s, McPherson’s, Hibernator, and the skier’s right side of Upper FIS for a total of 170 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths. Currently, it is 37 degrees at the summit of Sterling with partly cloudy skies. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for sunny skies, breezy with a high of 27 degrees at the base and 21 degrees at the base.
