We received 3 inches of new snow overnight, 6 inches in the past 48 hours, and 22 inches in the past 5 days. We now have 27 trails open with terrain for all ability levels.

Any plans of making snow on Madonna so maybe it’ll open this winter??

We plan to make snow on Madonna Mountain starting Monday night. Our groomers have been packing down the nature snow on Upper Chilcoot and Drifter. We have a Winter Storm Advisory Monday night and Tuesday with up to 10 inches of new snow possible. The natural snowfall and man made snow will allow us to open it again very soon.

In a related question… when in the season do the Highlands runs and Snow Snake usually open? It’s understandable that they are probably lower on the priority list, but Morse is pretty crowded with only Garden Path and the Magic Learning Trail.

We are presently making snow on Lower Rumrunner and Birch Run. We plan to finish up with those trails soon and then our snowmaking focus will be on getting the Madonna 1 Lift open. There is a winter weather advisory starting tonight and going through Thursday with up to 16 inches of new snow possible, so maybe Snow Snake will open with natural snow. Stay tuned for where we made snow after Madonna Mountain.
