We received 2 to 3 inches of new snow overnight, 21 inches in the past week, and 171 inches this season so far! We have 65 skiable trails and 50 lift-accessible trails presently open. The Madonna 1 Lift is currently on cold hold, but we plan to have it open at 10:30 am. The Village Lift, Sterling Lift, Madonna 2 Lift, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, and both magic carpets at Sir Henry’s are all open. Currently, it is partly cloudy and -5 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusting a little higher. Today’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies early becoming partly sunny later with a high of 6 degrees at the base and 0 degrees at higher elevations. Bundle up and enjoy the new snow! Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 12 to 42 inches. 24 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley, Howie’s Wanderer, Midway, Upper FIS, and Meadowlark for a total of 137 acres of freshly groomed terrain. The Morse Highlands Lift is closed today due to snowmaking operations.
