Let it snow

3 Mountain Logo

Today’s weather could be described in two words, snowing and blowing. The storm moved in quickly this morning. We started the day with partly cloudy skies, by 9 am the wind picked up and it started snowing hard. The surface conditions changed quickly to powder with drifts building. The conditions got better as the day went on! We received 5 inches of new snow today. Tonight’s forecast is calling for another inch of new snow. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for partly sunny skies, windy with a high of 24 degrees at the base and 17 degrees at higher elevations. Surface conditions are powder and packed powder with average base depths of 14 to 44 inches. 32 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Drifter, and Snow Snake for a total of 165 acres of freshly groomed terrain.
