Snow Sport University Instructors set up a fun course for the kids on Sir Henry’s this afternoon. Snowflakes were flying as these skiers and riders took on banked turns, fun boxes, hoops, and even a jump! There were miles of smiles as these kids did lap after lap on the obstacle course. Speaking of snowflakes we received 6 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 13 inches in the past 6 days. We could see another 1 to 3 inches of new snow tonight. Tomorrow we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including Madonna 1. We have 61 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 30 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Snow Snake, Thomke’s, McPherson’s, Hibernator, and Lower Pipeline for a total of 160 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 10 to 46 inches. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies early with clearing skies, a high of 36 degrees at the base and 30 degrees at higher elevations. It is going to be another wonderful day and I’ll see you on the slopes!
