Madonna I Lift is open today

3 Mountain Logo

The upper half of Madonna Mountain is natural snow only. There is thin cover in spots, water bars, icy patches, and more. This terrain is for advanced and experts only. That being said, there are also some amazing turns to be had! We plan to have 5 lifts operating today: Sterling, Madonna I, Village, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We now have 50 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 16 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley, Lower Chilcoot, and Magic Learning Trail, for a total of 100 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine-groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 10 to 40 inches. Surface conditions may change throughout the day. Last night, we made snow on Midway, Meadowlark, and Curley’s Cutback. Midway and Meadowlark are both open today. We plan to open Curley’s Cutback later today. Currently, it is cloudy and 34 degrees at the summit of Sterling, with winds of 10 to 15 mph. Today’s forecast calls for cloudy skies with a slight chance of freezing rain or rain, a little breezy, a high of 35 degrees at the base and 36 degrees at higher elevations. Happy Holidays!
