3 Mountain Logo

Today was one for the books with sunny skies, great conditions, and light winds. I explored all 3 mountains and rode all 6 open lifts. I even went snowboarding and skiing today. Freefall was open from the top and I would have to say that was my trail pick of the day. I hugged the skier’s left side all the way down, but the snow on the top section was my favorite. I can’t wait to hit the slopes again tomorrow! We plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding tomorrow on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna 1 Lift. We have 75 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 12 to 52 inches. 38 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Thomke’s, Shuttle, Drifter, Hibernator, Smugglers’ Alley, Ruthie’s, Snow Snake, and the skier’s right side of Upper FIS for a total of 199 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Currently, it is partly sunny and 9 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for partly sunny skies early, increasing clouds with a chance of snow late half an inch of accumulation possible, breezy, a high of 37 degrees at the base and 33 degrees at higher elevations.
