Temperature drop

3 Mountain Logo

Yesterday we saw the thermometer reach the upper 40’s and low 50’s. We had to wait for the temperature to drop below freezing last night before starting our grooming operations. This shortened the time we had to buff up the trails, so we focused our grooming operations on beginner and intermediate terrain. Due to last night’s smaller grooming window will operate the Madonna 2 Lift instead of the Madonna 1 Lift. We plan to have the Madonna 1 Lift open again tomorrow. Today we plan to have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating. We have 39 trails open today with terrain for all ability levels. 37 trails have been groomed for today, that’s a total of 193 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and loose granular with average base depths of 12 to 50 inches. Currently, it is partly sunny and 8 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 15 to 25 mph.
