I spoke with our Patrol Director Mike Duncan today, who said that he believes tonight’s forecasted snow will allow us to have over 20 open trails tomorrow. Tonight’s forecast is calling for periods of snow with 3 to 7 inches of accumulation. Tomorrow’s forecast is cloudy skies with snow showers early, another 1 to 2 inches of new snow possible, and breezy, with a high of 26 degrees at the base and 22 degrees at higher elevations. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day. It is snowing and 28 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow we plan to have the Sterling Lift, Sir Henry’s Glider, and Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift open to mid-station. We plan to have 20 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 8 trails will be groomed for tomorrow for a total of 44 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable, with average base depths of 8 to 38 inches.

What happened to teh interactive trail map feature? (I realize this might not be the best place to ask that question, I just lfound it a great wway to get a feel for what was happening on the trails)

Thank you for your question and for sharing your thoughts about the interactive trail map feature! It’s always our goal to provide tools that enhance your experience and keep you connected to what’s happening on the trails. As we transitioned to our new site, we worked hard to create fresh and updated resources for our guests. While the interactive map wasn’t carried over, we’re excited about the enhancements we’re making, including plans to add detailed information about each of our trails. Your feedback means a lot to us and helps shape the tools and features we prioritize. If you have any additional thoughts or suggestions, we’d love to hear them!

Hello!
Visiting from Kansas the week of Dec. 29th – Jan 4th. Currently seeing no snowy conditions. Will Madonna still be shut down?

Our snowmaking crew moved to Madonna Mountain yesterday afternoon. We are presently making snow on Lower Chilcoot and Mulcahy’s Link. We plan to have some trails open on Madonna Mountain by the middle of this week. Enjoy your vacation.
