Spring has officially sprung at America’s Family Resort
After a long winter, there’s nothing quite like that first warm breeze, the scent of maple in the air, and the sound of happy families making memories in the mountains. From March 28 to April 4, 2025, we’re celebrating the best of early spring with a week full of adventure, laughter, and family fun.
Whether chasing thrills on the slopes, exploring nature as it begins to bloom, or diving into Vermont’s sweet maple season, this is a magical time to be at Smuggs. Cozy up for some après-ski fun, enjoy maple-themed events the whole family will love, or relax and take in the fresh mountain air—we have something for every age and interest.

Spring into Smuggs: 5 Must-Do Activities for the Week
Whether you’re here for a full week of fun or just a quick spring getaway, these 5 Smuggs activities are not to be missed!
🌼 The Friendly Pirate Sing-along & Bingo (Tuesday)
Join Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate for an afternoon of laughter, music, and prizes! The sing-along kicks off at 4:00 pm, followed by pirate-themed Bingo at 5:00 pm at the Meeting House. All ages are welcome, and costumes are encouraged—ARRR, you ready?
🌿 Yoga For All Levels (Thursday, 8:30 am – 9:45 am)
Start your morning with a relaxing and energizing stretch session at the Nordland Library. Ages 7 & older are welcome, and it’s a great way to get centered before a day of adventures. Preregistration required.
🎨 Jewelry Making (Offered Daily, Monday – Friday)
For a hands-on creative experience, head to the Vermont Jewelry School (just 3.5 miles from Smuggs)! Sessions run twice daily, and guests ages 9 & older can craft a sparkling keepsake to remember their vacation. Preregistration required.
🎶 Acoustic Music Nights (Monday & Wednesday, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
Wrap up your day with cozy, live acoustic music at the Meeting House. It’s the perfect setting for winding down with the whole family after a fun-filled day.
🏃 FunZone 2.0 Weekend Extravaganza (Friday – Sunday, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm)
From Laser Tag to Smuggs Warrior obstacle courses and the climbing wall, this indoor playground is packed with action for kids and their grownups. Don’t forget your socks—and sneakers for the Go Zone!

BrewFest at Smuggs
March 29, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Get ready for a night of craft beer, great bites, and good vibes! Join us in the lower level of the Meeting House for BrewFest, featuring samples from top Vermont breweries like Fiddlehead, Switchback, Von Trapp, Foam, and more. A DJ will keep the energy up while you enjoy an appetizer buffet alongside your brews. Tickets are $28 at the door and include 8 samples plus a souvenir glass. Must be 21 & older. Raise a glass with us and celebrate Vermont’s brewing spirit!

🎿 Spring Brings New Lift Hours!
As the seasons change, so do our lift operations! With spring’s arrival, staying updated on the latest lift schedules is important to make the most of your time on the slopes.
Key Updates:
- Morse Mountain Lifts: All lifts on Morse Mountain, including Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, Morse Highlands Lift, Sir Henry’s Glider Lift, and Village Lift, will close for the season after March 30, 2025.
- Sterling and Madonna Mountains: Lifts on these mountains will continue operations beyond March 30, but hours may vary based on conditions.
