Wild weather

3 Mountain Logo

We received 5 inches of new snow today and 11 inches in the past 24 hours. Today’s wind moved the snow around a good bit if you get my drift. Weather permitting, tomorrow we plan to have 5 lifts operating: Sterling, Village, Madonna II, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We plan to have 18 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 10 to 40 inches. 17 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Midway, Meadowlark, and Lower Chilcoot, for a total of 104 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We are presently making snow on Black Snake, Practice Slope, and Snake Bite. Currently, it is snowing and 18 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tonight’s forecast is calling for another inch of new snow. Tomorrow’s forecast is cloudy skies and breezy, with a high of 20 degrees at the base and 14 degrees at higher elevations. Bundle up and enjoy all the new snow!
