The storm moves in tonight with 2 to 4 inches of new snow possible. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for periods of snow with 3 to 7 inches of accumulation possible. Today is the calm before the storm, with partly sunny skies and a high of 32 degrees at the base and 27 degrees at higher elevations. We have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including Madonna I. We have 65 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 33 trails have been groomed today, including Waterfall, Dixie’s Knoll, Black Snake, Thomke’s, Smugglers’ Alley, and Upper FIS for 171 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine-groomed with average base depths of 10 to 46 inches. Currently, it is partly cloudy and 18 degrees at the summit of Sterling, with winds of 20 to 30 mph.
