Temperatures in the single digits and teens along with light winds are optimum for snowmaking. The cold air allows for more efficient snowmaking and the light wind gives you a better chance of getting the snow to land where you want it to. Thank you snowmakers for all your hard work around the clock! Tomorrow we plan to have the Village Lift, Sterling Lift, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, and Sir Henry’s Glider all operating. We have 30 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 10 to 40 inches. 11 trials will be groomed for tomorrow, including Lower Morse LIftline and Smugglers’ Alley for a total of 62 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We are presently making snow on Mulcahy’ Link, Lower Chilcoot, and Meadowlark. We received an inch of new snow in the past 24 hours and 11 inches in the past 2 days. Currently, it is partly cloudy and -6 degrees at the summit of Sterling Mountain. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for partly sunny skies with a high of 16 degrees at the base and 13 degrees at higher elevations. We have a Winter Weather Advisory starting Monday night and going through Tuesday morning with up to 7 inches of new snow possible.
