We received 3 inches of new snow overnight, 13 inches in the past 2 days, and 34 inches in the past week. We have 5 lifts operating: Madonna II, Sterling, Village, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 30 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. We are presently making snow on Mulcahy’s Link, Upper Chilcoot, McPherson’s, and Waterfall. This snowmaking will help us get Madonna I open again. 19 trails have been groomed for today, including Black Snake, Lower Chilcoot, Smuggler’s Alley, Meadowlark, and Curley’s Cutback, for a total of 118 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 10 to 40 inches.

When are we going to get evening uphill access rolling again?
-
As per Smuggs uphill policy, starting Friday January 10th, morning uphill on Sterling will be available from 5:30 am to 7:30 am daily and on Morse in the evenings Friday through Wednesday. Users must check the snow report before you go! There will be days when Sterling closes in the morning due to grooming needs. Morse is likely to close again for a period when snowmaking activity resumes there. Madonna is currently closed due to a combination of snowmaking, grooming activity, and lack of terrain.
Evening access on Madonna and Sterling will open once more terrain becomes available. The uphill route on Sterling is the Rum Runner trail only. Downhill routes can be any open trail. Please review the uphill access rules found in the policy on the Smuggs website (link from the snow report). Thanks you for your cooperation.
