Thank you Mountain Operations

Shout out to our groomers, patrol, lift maintenance, and snowmakers for getting Madonna 1 open! We really appreciate all of your hard work. Madonna Mountain was a real treat today with Doc Dempsey’s, Upper FIS, Chilcoot, Drifter, and Catwalk all open. Freefall was even open from the top for a while. The skier’s left side of Upper FIS was great. I also found quite a few fresh turns in the woods. Tomorrow we plan to have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 5 lifts operating, including Madonna 1. We have 50 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 12 to 42 inches. 24 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Chilcoot, Smugglers’ Alley, Curley’s Cutback, Snake Bite, and Howie’s Wanderer for a total of 135 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Currently, it is 16 degrees at the summit of Sterling with flurries and winds of 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 23 degrees at the base and 19 degrees at higher elevations. We received an inch of new snow today, 14 inches in the past 3 days, and 31 inches in the past week!
