Due to wind chill early today lift operations will be delayed. We received an inch of new snow overnight and 7 inches in the past 24 hours. Currently, it is -8 degrees at the summit of Sterling with flurries and winds of 0 to 5 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for skies becoming sunny, and blustery with a high of 4 degrees at the base and 0 degrees at higher elevations. It’s time for function, not fashion. Dress for success, so that you can enjoy the wonderful conditions. 11 trails have been groomed for today, including Howie’s Wanderer and Smugglers’ Alley for a total of 67 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 10 to 40 inches. We are presently making snow on Meadowlark, Mulcahy’s Link, and Lower Chilcoot. We have 29 trails open with terrain for all ability levels.
