We received 3 inches of new snow overnight, 9 inches in the past 2 days, and 31 inches in the past 8 days! The conditions are amazing. Today, we have Madonna II Lift, Sterling Lift, Village Lift, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, and Sir Henry’s Glider all operating. The Madonna I Lift will be closed till Saturday, January 20th, for snowmaking operations on Upper Chilcoot. Today, we have 47 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. We plan to have 70 trails open this weekend. 22 trails have been groomed for today, including Ruthie’s and Snake Bite, for a total of 96 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 16 to 40 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 6 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies and a chance of snow showers with a high of 15 degrees at the base and 10 degrees at higher elevations.
