We received a dusting to an inch of new snow this morning, 10 inches in the past 3 days, and 358 inches this season so far! Today we have the Sterling Lift operating. We have 30 trails open with terrain for intermediates and experts only. 11 trails have been groomed for today, including Thomke’s, Birch Run, Smugglers’ Alley, and Snake Bite for a total of 52 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 12 to 50 inches. Currently, it is 28 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with a chance of snow showers, a high of 43 degrees at the base, and 36 degrees at higher elevations. The Closing Day is Sunday, April 13th. We plan to have both the Sterling Lift and Madonna 1 Lift operating for closing weekend.
